The Chinese Herbal Medicine Wet Powder Swing Granulator is a universal granulation machine applied in the processing of herbal medicines. It is designed to granulate wet powder mixture of different ingredients into loose granules, that can be used to further manufacture various herbal products.
The granulator operates on the principle of swing and oscillating granulation, when a rotating cyclinder swings back and forth, causing the wet powder to squeeze out throug the surrounding metal mesh screen. This process results in uniform wet granules that are suitable for further processing.
Compared to dry granulators, which only use pressure to form granules, the wet powder swing granulator offers several advantages. Firstly, it allows for better control over the size and shape of the granules, resulting in a more consistent product. Secondly, the addition of a liquid binder helps to improve the flowability and compressibility of the granules, making them easier to handle during subsequent processing steps.
